WELCOME TO WESTON HIGH SCHOOL, CONNECTICUT!

Weston High School, located in Fairfield County, Connecticut is a four year (grades 9-12) comprehensive college-directed high school with approximately 810 students.  The town of Weston is a residential community of 10,000 located fifty miles northeast of New York City.  This twenty square mile suburb is home to executives, professionals, entrepreneurs, writers and creative and performing artists.  The community is extremely supportive of and involved in the Weston Public schools.  Our high school has an active PTO which serves our school through volunteering, fund raising, PSAT and SAT evening prep courses, overseeing the Memorial Day Road Race and sponsoring guest speakers for parents and critical friends.

WHS is a NEASC fully accredited high school with high ranking status in Connecticut's DRG -A.  Sixty-six certified and distinguished educational instructors work with our students to cultivate the wisdom necessary for enriched and vital futures.

The Weston marking system uses letter grades which are converted to grade point values.  Certain courses are weighted according to difficulty.  Twenty four credits in specific academic areas are required to graduate plus reaching goal on CAPT (Connecticut Academic Performance Test).  The Sixth Semester mean average GPA for the class of 2007-was 3.31.

Weston High School offers 14 Advanced Placement Courses.

Weston High School offers a full interscholastic athletic program with 29 teams for men and 32 teams for women.  Many opportunities are available in drama, music, and a wide variety of special interest clubs such as Company (drama), Key Club (Kiwanis), Heliotrope (yearbook), the Journal (school newspaper), Inlook (Literary magazine), H.O.W. Environmental Club, FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America), Honor Society, Diversity Club, Border Crossings, Peer Advising and Student Government among others.
