1. When does school start?
School begins at 8:30. If you drop off your child, students may enter the building beginning at 8:15. If your child arrives after 8:30 they will be marked tardy and you will need to accompany the child to the office, sign in, and then send your child to the classroom.
2. Where is our classroom?
Our room is South House 43. From the main entrance, take a right and walk down the South House Corridor. Take another left at the cafeteria and follow the hallway to the end. Our classroom is the second to last room on the right hand side!
3. What about alternate dismissal plans?
If your child is not going to take his/her regular bus home, I will need 2 notes indicating name, date, location he/she will be going to, means of transportation, and your signature. If you need to pick up your child early, please indicate the time on your note so your child can be sent to the office for pick-up.
4. What is the snack time procedure?
We will enjoy a morning snack on short days and a morning and afternoon snack on long days. Please send a healthy snack to school in order to fuel our minds and bodies and separate snacks from lunch items. We are a NUT FREE room, so all snacks must be safe for students in our classroom. Pre-packaged snacks cannot contain any peanuts and loose items in a plastic bag cannot be opened as a precaution.
5. When do we eat lunch?
We will have lunch from ____________ each day.
6. How do we handle Birthday Celebrations?
Please arrange the date and time with me in advance for Birthday celebrations. If your child has a summer birthday, feel free to celebrate on his/her half birthday or choose a day at the end of the year. If you are bringing a treat, please accompany the treat with a healthy alternative to encourage a balanced diet! Please remember to provide paper goods (napkins, plates, utensils, etc.) as well. This also means NUT FREE treats due to allergies. Please read labels carefully. If you wish, you may share your child's favorite book with the class as well!
